A flag is readable from thirty metres: the design isn't the same as a brochure
A flag is seen from afar, in motion, and backlit. This changes the rules: the logo needs to cover a good portion of the fabric, the contrast with the background must be high, and long text is unnecessary. On a 3-metre sail flag, the truly legible area from the street is the top third; that's where the brand goes, not the slogan. We design with this logic and show you how it looks before printing anything.
The other factor is where it will be. An outdoor mast flag withstands wind and sun, requiring nautical polyester of 110-115 g/m² with a hemmed edge and reinforced sleeve. An indoor banner for a conference might use blockout fabric of 200-220 g/m² to prevent transparency on double-sided prints. What can be customised
- The entire fabric in full colour: background, logo, pattern or photograph, with no cost per number of inks, as sublimation prints in four-colour process.
- One side or two: on one side, the ink penetrates the fabric and the reverse reads in mirror, with slightly muted colours; for true double-sided, a blockout layer is sewn in between so each side has its own design.
- Format and size: hand flags of 20×30 cm, table flags of 15×22 cm, mast flags of 100×150 or 150×225 cm, vertical banners and sails from 3 to 4.5 m.
- Finish and fittings: hem, sleeve, tape with carabiners, metal rings, cord or chrome base, depending on whether you hang it, hoist it, or place it on a table.
- The whole campaign: the same brand on the flags, on the custom corporate apparel for the team, and on the gifts you distribute at the stand.

How It's Done
- Design and Preview. You send us the logo in vector format (SVG, PDF or AI) and, if you only have a PNG, we vectorise it. We adapt the design to the format and reading distance and send you the preview of the customised flag. Nothing goes into production until you approve it.
- Production and Marking. We sublimate the polyester, cut and sew the finish you've chosen: hem, sleeve, carabiners or rings. We produce per unit with no minimum order, so you can test with one flag before launching the rest.
- Delivery. We ship to the office, event venue, or the address of the stand organiser, across Europe, with a single invoice. Allow about two to three weeks from when you approve the preview; for flags and banners with structures, it usually takes a bit longer, so it's wise to plan ahead before a trade show.
Where They Work and What to Pair Them With
The three most common uses are the facade or garden of the headquarters, with two or three flagpoles that change with the seasons; the trade show stand, where a 3-metre flag marks the meeting point above the crowd; and races, open days, or inaugurations, where hand flags of 20×30 cm cost 1-3 € each and are distributed by the hundreds. For meetings and signings, the table flag serves another purpose: it's not visibility, it's protocol.
A single flag catches the eye, but the image holds when the team is dressed alike and visitors take something with the same brand. How much does a customised flag with my company logo cost?
It depends on the format. A hand flag of 20×30 cm is about 1-3 € per unit, a table flag 5-12 €, a flagpole flag of 100×150 cm between 25 and 45 €, and one of 150×225 cm between 45 and 80 €. A complete feather flag, with fibre pole and base, ranges from 90 to 180 €. These are indicative prices per unit, excluding VAT, with the logo already applied; they decrease with volume.
What is the minimum order for customised flags?
There is no minimum order: we produce per unit, so you can order just one flag. The unit price improves with quantity, especially from 10 or 20 pieces of the same format and size. It's common to order a first test flag and proceed with the rest once you've seen it in hand.
How long does a flag order take to arrive?
Estimate about two to three weeks from when you approve the design preview. Flags and banners with poles and bases usually require a bit more time. If you have a trade show with a fixed date, let us know the setup day when requesting a quote so we can work backwards from that date.
What marking technique is used on the flags?
Digital sublimation on polyester: the ink integrates into the fibre, not just a layer on top, and withstands sun and washing better than screen printing. It allows full colour without cost per number of inks. On one side, the ink penetrates and the reverse reads in mirror, with the colour slightly muted; if you need two different designs or zero transparency, it's done double-sided with an intermediate blockout fabric.
Can the flag be displayed outdoors all year round?
Yes, for outdoor use, 110-115 g/m² nautical polyester with perimeter hem and reinforced sleeve is used, which withstands wind and radiation. However, an outdoor flag is consumable: with strong winds and constant sun, the colour and edge wear out, so plan to renew it every one or two seasons. Lowering it during storms significantly extends its life.
